Linz, July 6, 2021: S&T AG (ISIN: AT0000A0E9W5, WKN: A0X9EJ, stock exchange symbol: SANT) was again able to report a high level of incoming orders in the second quarter of 2021, which once again significantly exceeded revenues in the second quarter.
Orders from public-sector clients continue to make a strong contribution, such as several recent orders from state-owned or state-related railroad companies and rail infrastructure operators, such as the British Network Rail in the amount of over EUR 8 million, as well as a major order worth USD 60 million from an American ministry. Here, S&T is supporting helicopter communication with private cloud systems. Additional orders were also won in the medical technology sector, for example from another German medical technology group in the amount of EUR 10 million.
We have developed a completely new solution for our customer Mavenir, a US provider of communications solutions. The first vRAN project has a volume of around USD 20 million. The abbreviation vRAN stands for “virtual Radio Access Network” and is a technical concept for the software-based flexibilization of mobile radio base stations, which enables the changeover to new mobile radio standards without having to completely replace radio base stations, as it was the case in the past.
Hannes Niederhauser, CEO of S&T AG: “S&T is operationally on the right track, which is reflected in the strong order intake and will be reflected in good half-year figures. Based on the success of the last months, we confirmed our guidance 2021 – min. EUR 1.4 billion revenue, with EBITDA of min. EUR 140 million.”
S&T AG will publish its 2021 half-year report on August 5, 2021.
